The Story:

We did the 1999 Pakistan World Cup reimagined into an oversized jacquard knit top because this one resonated more personally since we were old enough to kinda remember this World Cup (like 8 years old)- especially the great v India rivalry match during the Super Six stage.

During that time, there was an active political conflict that made the rivalry even more tensed, emotionally charged, and an electric atmosphere for fans. Honestly, I didn't even know too much about the war, but I definitely remember how much of a big deal this game was. In our time zone, it started like at 6am and all the uncs were locked in wearing this bold '99 jersey with a large star logo and cool retro looking green.

The 1999 World Cup was Pakistan's second appearance after the 1992 win. This time, a legendary roster included Wasim Akram as captain, Shoaib Akthar, Saqlain Mushtaq, Shahid Afridi, and other established winners in this golden generation of Pakistan cricket.

Pakistan lost this Cup, but it's still considered one of the most iconic appearances in Cricket World Cup for Pakistan.
